St. Timothy’s started renovating its kitchen on June 29, 2016. It passed its final inspection on March 1, 2017. Thanks to Sasen Renovations for all the work and for providing us with some of these photos.
June 30: Demolition.
July 15: The old kitchen and KidsChurch room are out; the new kitchen and storage room are framed.
July 22: The floor tiles are out and the floor is levelled.
July 31: Excavation outside and inside.
August 7: Preparation for installing the grease trap.
August 9: Now we see the state of the old drains. Fortunately, we were planning to replace them all.
August 12: The grease trap is now in place.
August 18: The water connections are complete and the external hole is now filled it. Time for some gardening.
August 23: The concrete truck has arrived.
August 26: The concrete floor is curing.
September 3: The framing of the walls is in progress.
September 23: The floor and ceiling of what was the KidsChurch room have been fixed, the outside of the kitchen and storeroom walls are drywalled, and the water heater is in.
October 28: The vent hood is now in, as is most of the ducting.
December 24: The storage room and kitchen now have completed walls and floors.
January 21: The kitchen is now coming together.
